Over the past few weeks at various events I have been asked the question “What are the benefits of using a professional web designer rather than simply using an online site builder?”. I am alway a little surprised at this but I shouldn’t be, it is a fair question as many people are simply not aware of the benefits that having a website properly designed and built can bring. This article aims to address this and to point (hopefully in plain English) out a few of the creative and technical reasons why it is often appropriate to hire a professional to design or re-design your website.
It Is More Than Just The Website
A good web designer will have a creative skillset that extends beyond simply laying out the various elements of your website’s pages. Your corporate identity (including logo, colours, typefaces) is crucial to how your company is perceived and remembered by potential clients.
